Different perspectives,  different presentations!

Last February  Roelof van der Weg and Theo Houterman presented the results of a remarkable project at the Hermitage. What started as a research question grew into a powerful and innovative way of approaching questions and presenting results.

How are projects  run in organizations where the focus is on art? In what way are they different from projects in more technical/technological  environments, where Prince II is  the standard?

With these questions in mind project meetings were attended and interviews held in the project organization of the hermitage in Amsterdam. Everything was recorded on video, which provided many hours of footage.

Working from their fields of expertise, Roelof being the expert in Project management and Theo  from the perspective of personal and organizational performance, the visual  material was edited to show the issues that were the most striking. The result was a series of short films displaying the nucleus of a possible improvement or even the essence of the existing strength.

The power of  the presentation lay in giving back their own visual material, getting a clear message across thanks to the way the material was cut and put together again. Easily recognizable and to the point.

The cooperation between Theo and Roelof confirmed the link between organization characteristics, personal competences and project management. By using this broad way of recording integrated proposals  for improvement  were put forward. A successful example of Videam, let me have a look!
